Cardiorespiratory fitness describes a person’s ability to perform cardio-respiratory activities that require the cardiovascular system to deliver maximal efficiency for energy and oxygen needs.
Cardiac output is, in turn, a function of the heart rate, the heart rate and the stroke volume. Aerobic fitness (aerobic) describes a person’s ability to maintain the aerobic level of functioning over time when exposed to exercise. Therefore, aerobic fitness is the ability to perform aerobic activity such as walking to maintain aerobic fitness.
Compared with aerobic fitness, cardio-respiratory fitness is more predictive of the ability to use the cardiovascular system efficiently during activities that require the cardiovascular system. Physical training: Aerobic fitness. Physical fitness (aerobic), is defined as the ability to perform aerobic movement patterns that occur in a normal range of heart rate. To be physically fit the heart rate should be within a normal range, while the ability to perform aerobic exercise is measured as the VO2 max. The VO2 max is defined as the VO2, in liters per minute, measured during maximum exercise. This level of aerobic fitness gives the ability to exercise at a faster and more vigorous pace than is possible with less than maximum effort. Cardio-respiratory fitness (CRF) is defined as the ability to perform cardio-respiratory movement patterns that occur at a normal range of heart rate, while maintaining a high level of cardiac output.

To increase CRF, the person must exercise at a faster and more vigorous pace with a higher stroke volume, as well as performing more than one set of the exercise at a time. Cardio-respiratory fitness (CRF) is often broken down into the following levels: High level: CRF = VO2 max or HRmax = 150-220 (this indicates that the person is a high level of cardio-respiratory fitness) Low level: CRF = 20-40 (this indicates that the person is a low level of cardio-respiratory fitness). A good way to improve CRF would be to do more rope jumping with a special training rope.
